How To Order Your Custom Portrait
1) You submit several high quality photos (returned
to you with finished piece)....or you can email high resolution images. We
discuss choosing the best photo, background color, etc. to produce the pastel
painting. It is best to not use a flash to avoid the red-eye
effect.
2) The painting is done using high quality soft
pastels on acid-free tinted Canson paper.
3) Size varies based on the proportions of your
photo, but is approximately in the 15 x 18" range.
4) A spray fixative is lightly applied at several
stages during the painting process, but care must be used in handling the
finished painting to prevent smudges. A sheet of protective glycine paper is
placed over the painting before it is packed.
5) Finished unframed painting is carefully packed
and shipped in a special protective box via UPS ground.
6) A 50% deposit is due upon initial agreement. The final 50% plus shipping charges are due after you have approved a photo of
the completed painting and prior to shipping. Shipping and packing materials
are extra.
7) Price is $600 for the above mentioned size with
a simple background.....add 25% to initial price for additional pets, 20% for
detailed backgrounds (I typically prefer a simple background which showcases the
pet, but it is your choice).

8) Turn around time is typically 6-8 weeks.
